About Nicole Britton-Snyder

Attorney Nicole Britton-SnyderNicole Britton-Snyder brings several years of experience providing direct legal services in a non-profit setting. Prior to joining FLAG, Nicole was the Senior Staff Attorney at Family Violence Law Center (FVLC). At FVLC, Nicole provided free legal representation in civil restraining orders and limited family law matters for domestic violence, stalking and sexual assault survivors across Alameda County. She also served as an advisor to student survivors pursuing Title IX complaints at UC Berkeley and supervised FVLC’s legal internship program.

Previously, Nicole worked for Bay Area Legal Aid (Bay Legal) in San Francisco, for the Economic Justice Project, where she assisted CalWORKs recipients who faced benefit disputes with the County. Prior to obtaining her bar license, Nicole worked for the Bar Association of San Francisco as the Justice & Diversity Center’s Diversity Pipeline Program Manager. Nicole also served as a post graduate law clerk for Bay Legal’s Family Law Unit in San Francisco and the Transgender Law Center.

Nicole holds a B.A. from Cornell University, where she studied Feminist, Gender, Sexuality Studies and a J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law, where she was awarded a Public Interest Law Scholarship. Nicole is originally from Bronx, New York.

Nicole enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends. In her free time, she enjoys attending concerts, dancing, reading and watching shows which discuss issues affecting women, communities of color and the LGBTQ+ community.
